Hokkien Songs! Wa Si Hokkien Lang!

This days, youngsters normally listen to Chinese Pops Songs such as (Jay Chou, Fei Lun Hai, Wadever Wadever...and the list goes on and on and on). I do admit i am one of this kind of people. However, i grew up in an hokkien environment, i also do listen and sing some of those Hokkien songs. Like Yi Zhi Xiao Yu San (One Small Umbrella), Ai Tio Jia Zai Tia (Love liao then know pain) etc etc. I know I know.

Reading up to here you might be thinking : "Walau eh, you uncle or wad? listen to hokkien song. li sio gong hokkien song jin jia POP meh?" (read in hokkien, dunno how to read?? ask ur lao pei/lao bu)

BUT BUT BUT, let me finish 1st lah. I agree these songs do destroy those youngster look in us as they present a more "Uncle/Auntie" look just because most people who listen to this kind of songs are uncles and aunties. However, this songs do have meaning and sometimes the meaning simply just means great (can fight with nowadays pop songs hor).

Don't believe? Then tell me which Chinese Pop Songs can produce a meaning similar to a Hokkien Song named "Ji Pa Ban"(1 Million Dollars) ?? Why does some companies used "Ai Pia Jia Eh Yia" to motivate their workers?? It's because they exist those meanings and some might even contain humours.

Okay Okay, Personally, i really like One Small Umbrella and Ji Pa Ban.

Plus, Who says only those outdated singers sings Hokkien songs?

PLS CLICK ME!! =)

So tell me, does hokkien songs nice? I would say, they are nice.
